"The summer program at BFOH gives law students a realistic, hands-on experience of what the practice of law is really like. From the beginning of the summer through the very end, everyone at BFOH went out of their way to ensure my experience was both rewarding and educational.

One of the major benefits of clerking at BFOH is an exposure to a wide range of practice areas. Since all offices are highly integrated, clerks are also able to receive projects from each of the firm’s many offices. However, projects are not just limited to research and writing.

Attorneys make a concerted effort to include the summer clerks in as many real-life activities as possible including depositions, negotiations and trials. Clerks are even encouraged to attend and participate in firm meetings.

In line with BFOH’s commitment to personal growth and professional training, each summer clerk is provided a supervising attorney and a mentor attorney. In addition to regular feedback, each summer clerk is also given two formal evaluations, one mid-summer and one at the end of the summer.

Clerking at BFOH is not just limited to office activities. Clerks are invited to a variety of functions during the summer ranging from formal gatherings to informal cook-outs. There was no shortage of social events outside the firm.

I fully recommend the summer clerkship program to anyone seeking a very rewarding and enjoyable summer!"

"My experience as a clerk at BFOH was an invaluable addition to my law school career. I enjoyed the exposure to a variety of practice areas and the ability to work with numerous attorneys. Everyone was very helpful and always available to answer questions and give guidance. It was especially beneficial to have contact with a mentor and supervising attorney.

I was able to attend closings, meetings, mediations and hearings, as well as improve my research and writing techniques. Lunches, baseball games, cook-outs and many other social opportunities allowed me to get to know attorneys outside of the office.

I was very fortunate to be able to spend a summer at BFOH and would highly recommend the experience to anyone wishing to add both an educational and enjoyable addition to their law school experience."
