Michael J. Cork, Partner
Today’s management operates in an environment of increasingly complex federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Businesses must be both proactive and reactive in protecting and developing one of their most critical assets—their employees.
As a partner in Bamberger's Indianapolis office, I assist business clients in all phases of the employment relationship. I particularly enjoy working with human resources professionals in addressing an ever-changing list of employment-related issues. I suggest preventive measures where possible. But I am well-versed in litigating employment matters in federal and state courts, and representing clients before administrative agencies.
My 35+ years of experience include litigation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and state common law claims, including non-compete and trade secret litigation. I have been affiliated with the Alliance Defending Freedom (formerly Alliance Defense Fund), for over ten years. As an ADF ally, I provide significant pro bono service to clients in the areas of family values, religious liberties, and sanctity of life.
Helping employers manage risk and protect their rights. It’s what I do.
